How do I know Online Bill Payment is Safe?

Many people have questions about the security of information traveling on the Internet. Our online system has taken strict security measures to protect our online customers and our Web site. Your Online Bill Payment account is not automatically accessible via the Internet. Once you’ve decided to use our online resource, you must register with us to activate your account for online access. Your identity will be confirmed each time you want to access your account. Our system is hosted at a secure facility, and unauthorized access is restricted by firewalls. GGSA wants you to have complete confidence when you access your Internet account and make payments online. For this reason, we require you to enter your credit card information each time you use our system. GGSA does not store your credit card information. Our site also uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, which provides the most secure level of data encryption available on the market today. This allows sensitive information such as your credit card number to be almost unreadable to anyone who wrongly intercepts the information.
